One of the stops alone the "Fruit Loop" in Hood River area was Rasmussen Farms. The had a fruit stand, a greenhouse with lots of potted flowers and plants, a field of Sunflowers and Zinnia's and some really interesting things.

Timberline Lodge
On our return trip from the Gorge we went up to Timberline Lodge, my friend Kathy had never been there before, so of course we went with cameras in tow. It was 100+degrees and the sight of snowboarders was a hard contrast with sweat dripping from places it just shouldn't.
I love all the heavy iron and wood work and light fixtures, rams are a big theme here, not sure where that comes in but, when looking at the pictures, lots of things are rams.
I remember coming up here when I was a little girl to ski with my family. We did not come to this lodge very often, but I remember there used to be a St. Bernard dog that was always in the lodge. I think her name was Heidi, and I believe she was part of the "staff" but don't know for sure. Just rember seeing her here when we would come.
