Waterfalls and Tarzan Sighting

During our drive throught the scenic waterfall area we had many oportunities to try our hand at shooting them. These next couple shots I am pretty happy with.

Ok, so we were stopped at Horsetail falls, it was a hot day and there were many people enjoying the water at the base of the falls. Kathy and I went our seperate ways to find our angle to shoot this falls. I really liked the way the sun was playing on the water off to one side and I really wanted to get an interesting shot. However, with all the people around, the one gentleman that was swimming in this beautiful spot of light was, well, not very interesting. I am sure he is a fine person, but there were no details about him that intrigued me. He did not suit the surroundings or the setting I was going for. I waited for a while and watched the people to see if anything inspired me. Just when I was about to give up, up out of the water comes "Tarzan" . I giggled and snapped a quick shot, pleased with myself I scurried up the hill to show Kathy the sneaked shot. He suited the setting of jungle like lush forest, waterfall, rising from the water and looking so.....Tarzan like. I felt guilty and so obvious shooting his picture I did not stick around to set it up better or to take in the whole scene. It is not a great picture, but I had such a good giggle with Kathy over it, I will treasure it forever.

By the way, doesn't the water look pretty....

Full shot of horsetail falls with a very affectionate couple enjoying the water, and the audience of about 50 people swimming with them.

This was on our way over Mt. Hood, Sahahlee Falls, shot through the arch of the bridge crossing it.
